About

A.C.T. United (Anti Child Trafficking) is a 501c3 not for profit organization based out of Carver County, Minnesota, USA. We bring three things to the movement to end child trafficking: 1) a bold, new model of prevention for youth 2) the inclusive story of who is impacted by this health and human crisis, and 3) a strong message and method of UNITY!  As friends and partners, you have heard us say more than once…

“We will not end the sexual exploitation and trafficking of youth by responding to it, we end it by getting ahead of it in prevention!”

Our mission

“Uniting communities together in awareness, prayer, and prevention to end the sexual exploitation and trafficking of children and teens”

Our Founder and Executive Director

A.C.T. United began in 2015, with Founder and Executive Director, Jessica Bartholomew, as a call to the local church to become aware, equipped, and deployed into the work of anti trafficking ministry for the protection of children and teens.

With over 25 years of experience working with children, teens, and at risk communities in outreach, domestic and foreign missions, and 12 years as a metro area Police Officer, Jessica brings first hand information and experience to the issue of juvenile sex trafficking and exploitation. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of MN (1996) in Child Development with a minor study in Law, Criminology, and Deviance and a Certificate of Law Enforcement (2002) at Normandale Community College, MN. Jessica served 12 years in law enforcement as a Patrol Officer and an Undercover Officer in human trafficking and narcotics investigations.

She is the Author and lead presenter of YOUTH AWARE®: Teen Exploitation Prevention Program and Online S-A-F-E-T-Y for Kid’s reaching thousands of students annually. She also provides professional CEU’s and community education classes to connect and engage everyone in creating safe environments for youth.
Jessica is an engaging, passionate speaker, to both youth and professional audiences, who will leave you not just informed of the facts of juvenile sex trafficking, but also inspired to take action by her message that “UNITED WE WIN.”
